Patch Release: Additional Bug Fixes (v0.3.2)

This minor release brings a few small bug fixes and performance improvements to the platform.

Release notes:

  • Updated 'Highlights' section on stock detail page to show 'N/A' when data is not available instead of hiding the metric card.
  • Fixed width bug in 'News' section of Exchange page that was causing the component to overflow on smaller screen sizes.
  • Improved error handling for when a user tries to access a ticker that does not exist. Now, users will be redirected to the 404 page. Previously, there was no error handling in place and users were seeing an error state intended for developers.
  • Fixed bug that was preventing search button from showing on mobile devices.
  • Improved padding for quick search component on mobile devices.
  • Fixed conditional spacing/section border issue on stock detail page.

Patch Release: Minor Enhancements and Fixes (v0.3.1)

Our latest patch release brings key performance and user experience improvements to our platform. Thank you to all Limited Live beta testers for your feedback which continues to shape our updates.

Release notes:

  • Removed weekends and off-market hours from the portfolio chart on the /dashboard/overview page. This makes the chart easier to read and more accurately reflects the market's open hours.
  • Upgraded watchlist logic for a better, faster experience across various components. Now when a user adds a stock to their watchlist, there is no need to refresh the page to see the change reflected in the UI.
  • Fixed a bug where daily and total return values were not being displayed correctly in the 'current position' component.
  • Corrected dollar formatting in 'current position' component for better readability.
  • Transitioned 'top gainers & losers' component on /exchange page to utilize a new API endpoint. This allows us to show more accurate, reliable data.
  • Upgraded 'orders' component to update instantly without the need to refresh the page. This is a key performance improvement that makes the user experience much more seamless and snappy.
  • Other minor bug fixes and UI improvements.

Additional UI improvements and bug fixes (v0.3.0)

This minor release is mainly focused on addressing feedback from early users, fixing bugs, and making various improvements to the application's user interface. We've also been working on some exciting new features that we can't wait to share with you all soon (most likely in our next release).

Release notes:

  • Updated /account/investing page layout to show aggregate brokerage cash and stock balances.
  • Increased resolution of data on /dashboard/overview chart to show balance information by the minute.
  • Fixed a bug with currency formatting in the portfolio chart on /dashboard/overview page.
  • Adjusted all toast notifications to be displayed in the bottom center of the screen instead of the bottom right.
  • Updated generic news component on /exchange page to look more visually appealing.
  • Fixed a bug that was showing broken image links on /stocks/[symbol] page when the stock did not have a logo.
  • Moved 'Key Statistics' trigger button to be in the 'Highlights' section on /stocks/[symbol] page.
  • Fixed a bug where 'Show More' buttons were showing for certain stock lists. This feature is still in development and will be released in a future version.
  • Fixed a bug where drag & drop functionality was not working during the user onboarding/KYC flow.
  • Fixed bug on /account/settings/personal-information page where users were seeing incorrect placeholder data.
  • Added an empty state to the news component on /stocks/[symbol] page to show when there is no news available for a given stock.
  • Removed Instagram and Facebook links from footer. Added LinkedIn link to footer and updated Twitter logo to the new X logo.

UI improvements, bug fixes, and more (v0.2.0)

When we released our early closed beta to friends, family, and advisors two weeks ago, we were thrilled with the amount of positive and constructive feedback we received. Thank you to everyone who has participated in the beta up to this point, your support in these early stages means a lot.

Over the past two weeks we've been working really hard to address the feedback we received, and are excited to share some of that progress today in this next minor release.

Release notes:

  • Updated buy/sell order widget to automatically select 'day order' if users want to make a fractional order (all fractional orders must be day orders ).
  • Improved 'Review Order' button in buy order widget to be greyed out and set cursor to show as 'not-allowed' when user does not have sufficient funds to place the order.
  • Added error handler to signup form state to handle cases where email address is invalid / cannot receive email. There was already client side validation for this on the email input field, however we noticed users were still able to submit the form with an invalid email address such as 'a@a' without a TLD on the end, or with a purely invalid domain. This led to users being redirected to an error state that is only intended to be seen by developers.
  • Added v1 of daily and monthly trade confirmations. This is a feature that we are required to have in order to be compliant with our Broker Dealer. We are still working on the iterating on design of these emails, but the functionality is now in place.
  • Adjusted all instances of date/time across app UI to be displayed in EST timezone which is what most markets are based on. In the future, we will add the ability for users to select their timezone of choice.
  • Updated 'Top Positions' component heading to just be 'Positions'.
  • Added close position button and functionality to 'Orders' table. This allows users to cancel pending orders that have not yet been filled.
  • Fixed bug where 'www' version of subdomain was not redirecting to root domain.
  • Fixed bug where 'Deposit Funds' button in onboarding success email was not working.
  • Fixed bug where authentication middleware was redirecting to a development URL in certain cases.
  • Fixed typo on 'Affiliations' page of onboarding flow.
  • Fixed bug where file upload functionality was not working in onboarding flow for some users due to file size restrictions. This has been fixed by adding an error message to the UI when a file is too large. Unfortunately, we are still unable to accept files larger than 10MB at this time and cannot increase this limit as it's one set by our KYC/AML provider.
  • Released official SliceSpace changelog which can be accessed anytime at changelog.slicespace.com. This allows us to communicate with our users more effectively and keep you all up to date on the latest changes to the product.
